Inchinnan lies to the north of Paisley, across from the Airport and the Gryffe River. There has been a place of worship in Inchinnan since before the Abbey in Paisley was built - it has strong Knights Templar associations. The original church was built just outside of Renfrew where the Gryffe meets the Cart, about half a mile from the village.
The last one was built around 1904 and was called All Hallows However, in the mid-1960’s the Church stood in the path of the New Airport, and was demolished with a new one built in the Village.
In the past Inchinnan has produced airships and perhaps more famously, tyres from the India Tyre Company whose famous landmark building has recently been restored and now houses Graham Technologies.
